The event is open to all current Fitness Vibe class members. The price of the ticket is £21 which includes a glass of fizz on arrival, canapes, entertainment, hog roast style supper and a fabulous DJ so lots of dancing!

On Monday 17th November we held our Fitness Gold annual Macmillan Coffee Morning. We had our usual Monday morning keep fit session at Church of Ascension, Calvert Road followed by our Coffee Morning event.
Thanks to Heather, Adele, Jean, Hollie, Janet, Helen and Fiona for supplying the yummy cakes! Paul Scholfield a local tour guide gave us a very interesting talk on Hulls Old Town we then followed with our raffle. Thanks to the local business owners for supplying raffle prizes.
I am pleased to say we managed to raise £277.50 for the Macmillan charity so well done everyone!
It’s that time of year again for our fun Strictly Sweepstake running alongside the popular Strictly TV series.
There’s 105 of us taking part in this years sweepstake which is great! You all received a message letting you know which group number you were in (15 groups in total). I then did a live draw on facebook to see which celebrity each group had drawn.
So for those who don’t use social media or have missed last week at classes here is an image showing which celebrity you have drawn.

On Friday 12th September we had a surprise celebration for my sister Adele straight after our Fitsteps class at the Civic Hall, Cottingham. Adele was 60 on 17th September and also getting married to her longtime partner Phil the same day! Adele had no idea about our surprise celebration at all which was great! We surprised her on stage whilst doing the last track at the class. She was very shocked and emotional!
My husband Alan, Gaynor, Alison, Jean and Helen had been busy all morning behind the screen getting the bar area “party” ready. Approximately 60 Fitness Vibe ladies were able to make our celebration at 11.30am with bubbly and a buffet. Then from 1pm Phil, Adele’s partner and some close friends and family arrived to surprise her.
Fitness Vibe members did a collection and we presented Adele and Phil with a gorgeous basket for log burning along with a £200 voucher for Malyan Spout Hotel! We also had two wonderful cakes made by our Instructor Helen x

Our wonderful caretaker Annette is now retiring from Civic Hall, Cottingham. On behalf of myself and Fitness Vibe I would just like to say thank you Annette for all your dedication and hard work making the hall look so fantastic. You are the best cleaner ever!
Annette is also a wonderful person and always has time to talk to you. You will be missed Annette. So at the end of last month the volunteers and some of the hall users had a celebration for her. You could see by the turnout and all her gifts how very much appreciated Annette is.

I will be teaching a morning class on Bank Holiday Monday 25th August at Church of Ascension, Calvert Road from 11am – 11.45am. The style will be a low impact dance fitness class. It’s nice and early so you can get your exercise done, catch up with your class friends and then carry on with your bank holiday plans.
Please remember there is no evening Zumba Class that evening.

The weather didn’t stop us having our annual Fitness Gold “picnic” buffet lunch on Monday 4th August. Even though we had to stay indoors we all had a lovely time.
The buffet was excellent yet again thanks to Vicki at Saving Thyme Buffet Catering Hull. Fantastic service as always.

On Tuesday 10th June we had our annual Fitness Gold day trip. This year we arranged a river cruise in York followed by lovely lunch at Plonkers Wine bar. We then had some free time to spare around the centre of York.
We all had a really good time and the sun shone all day. Special thanks to our driver Stu from Les Holland coaches for being so resourceful and enabling us to have our annual sing along.
