I would just like to say a massive thank you to all the lovely Christmas gifts I received.  It was so thoughtful and I really appreciate it x

The last class of the year was Wednesday 19th December, we are then closed for the holidays and re-open on Monday 7th January with our full weekly schedule.  Please note there is a special one-off “warm up” Zumba class with Gaynor on Thursday 3rd January 6.30pm – 7.15pm Civic Hall, Cottingham, for those interested in getting a head start x

We can now announce the winners of our fun Strictly Sweepstake!  Congratulations to – Kathy Mills, Pat Dickson, Ann Gregson, Norma McAlpine and Lynne (monday morning keep fit).  You all were allocated Kevin and Stacey from the Strictly series who won the glitter ball!  Well done x

I have some fabulous news!  Debs Horsham-Batley won the Fitsteps Instructor of the year award – how great is that!  Lots of you met Debs when I invited her to team teach with me at our Fitsteps class last Friday 7th December.  Thanks so much to everyone who voted for her.  Debs is thrilled as you can imagine.  Well done and well deserved Debs x

Had a lovely Christmas celebration lunch on Thursday 13th December with Fitness Gold group.  We all had a Christmas lunch at the Priory Inn, Priory Road.

If anyone would like to join this friendly traditional Keep Fit class we meet every Monday morning at the Church of Asension, Calvert/Priory Road 10.30am – 11.15am.  New members are most welcome.  Merry Chrismas from Fitness Gold group!

Thank you to everyone who turned up at our Christmas Zumba Bash on Thursday 13th December at he Civic Hall, Cottingham.  You all looked fabulous in your costumes.  Andy the resident chef at Civic Hall did a fabulous buffet and congratulations to everyone who won on the raffle.  Special thanks to my sister Adele, Phil and my husband Alan who always help out on the night.

What a lovely way to end the year!  Great Festive Zumba class on Thursday 13th December at Southella Zumba Gold Class.  Merry Christmas everyone, Thursday morning Southella Zumba Gold class starts again on Thursday 10th January 2019 x

We had a lovely Festive Zumba Gold event on Wednesday 11th December.  Festive tracks in our Zumba Gold class followed by a lovely buffet and drinks in the Old Oak Room at Civic Hall, Cottingham.  What did you think of our rendition of the selection of Christmas Carols?  You all sounded fabulous.  Special thanks to Megan, Sue, Anne and Lesley for leading the sing-a-long.

What a great surprise on Friday 7th December when my dear friend and fellow Instructor Debs Horsham-Batley turned up at our festive Friday morning Fitsteps class.  Debs co-presented the class with me along with Catherine and everyone really enjoyed her presence.

Debs will be at the iconic Tower Ballroom, Blackpool next Saturday 15th December as a finalist in the Fitsteps Instructor of the year awards.

Many of you have met Debs at our classes and know that I was at a cross roads 8 years ago with what direction to take my business in.  Debs kindly invited me to view her Zumba Class in Scarborough and I was so blown away by what I saw that I decided to take the Zumba training.  So if you enjoy my Zumba classes – this is the lady that inspired me!

Lots of the Southella Zumba Gold ladies met on Thursday 6th December at the Beech Tree, Kirkella for a Christmas Lunch.  This new class was well represented and we all had a lovely time with everyone getting in the festive spirit.  The last Thursday morning Zumba Gold class of the year will be on Thursday 13th December.  We then close for the holidays and re-open this Southella Class on Thursday 10th December 2019.

It’s the annual Evening Christmas Zumba Bash on Thursday 13th December.  Come along to Zumba as usual that evening 6.30pm – 7.15pm Civic Hall, Cottingham,.  Festive tracks in the playlist.  Tinsel, Santa Hats, Elves most welcome!  Please note the class is £5 that evening as this includes a raffle ticket.  You are then invited to stay behind if you want to join me in a glass of bubbly and a buffet.  I am asking for £5 towards the buffet.  We will then offer drinks – Prosecco, Wine, Beer and soft drinks for just £1 a drink!  Hope you can join me x
