We all had a faulous night at this years annual Fitness Vibe Christmas party and Cottingham Civic Hall on Thursday 14th December. Please make sure you purchase your tickets quickly as the event sells out very fast. This year we had 140 of us and the tickets were sold out within 5 days!

Wow! what a fabulous Fitness Vibe Christmas Party we had this year in the Civic Hall, Cottingham. The tickets sold out in just 5 days and 140 of us attended. Please make sure you purchase tickets quickly next year as the evening is very popular. It gets better and better each year!

The evening started with meeting and greeting with fizz on arrival. We then had a quick pass the parcel to get us all mingling on our tables. Once again we were entertained by the fabulous Maggie Hush, a very talented young lady x. Cold buffet platters were handed out to each table followed by hot curries by our excellent chef Andy Chapman.

We were not disappointed by our regular DJ Danny and I know many of you have booked him again for your own private functions. Well done Danny, the dance floor was packed all evening, you certainly know how to hold your audience.

May I take this opportunity to say a massive thank you for my a present – a Christmas plant and Boots gift voucher from current class members at Fitness Vibe classes. I was very shocked! I am looking forward to heading into the town centre this week to treat myself! Once again thank you so much x

The bar was staffed and organised by the wonderful volunteers at Cottingham Village Trust who also helped me do the table plan at the beginnig of the evening. Many thanks to you all x

The feedback I have had has been amazing. Lots of you mentioned how lovely the room looked. Please note there is no way I could ever pull off an event like this on my own. It’s a big team effort. So thanks to team party – my husband Alan, sister Adele, brother in las Phil, the irreplaceable Fitness Vibe Instructor Gaynor, ever present team member Jean and chef Andy Chapman.

This special “Twixtmas” holiday dance fitness class will be held on Thursday 28th December 10.30am in the Civic Hall, Cottingham.

Open to all. Last year we had a great turnout and it looks as though its going to be popular once again.

The session is £5 and it must be prebooked and paid for in advance. Sorry no refunds. You can book on at any Fitness Vibe classes or contact me direct to arrange payment.

Come on ladies, lets get off the couch, away from the Christmas food and TV!

Wow! what a response to this years Fitness Vibe Christmas party. Due to the great success of last years party we sold nearly 140 tickets to our class members in 5 days!

The Christmas party is open to all current Fitness Vibe class members and will be held on Thursday 14th December 7pm – 11pm at Civic Hall, Cottingham. Ticket price is £17 which includes a glass of fizz on arrival and hot and cold buffet. We will once again be entertained by Maggie Hush the fabulous retro singer and then the brilliant Danny DJ will host the disco from 9pm. The Civic Hall will be all dressed up in a Festive theme x

Let’s get party ready!!

On Monday 6th November we held our Fitness Gold Macmillan Coffee morning at Church of Ascension, Calvert Road.

We had our Keep Fit class as usual then grouped together with our coffee and cakes. Thanks so much to everyone who baked the fabulous, scrummy cakes! This year we had Kevin from the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity giving us a talk about the great work they do.

As per tradition we then held our fabulous raffle. Thanks to all the local business owners who kindly donated to our raffle.

I am pleased to announce this year we raised £191.50 for the Macmillan Charity and also raised £115.00 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance charity.

So the final Halloween themed class of the year was on Monday 30th October at the Church of Ascension. This time it was our lovely Fitness Gold Keep Fit group. It was great to see you all dressed up, thank you x

We had a spooktacular Friday morning Strictly Fitsteps class on Friday 27th October at the Civic Hall. Amazing turnout, thank you x There were lots of new ballroom hallween themed tracks in the playlist this year to keep you on your toes.

Well done with all the new choreography ladies, you looked fabulous!

On Thursday 26th October we held our annual Zumba Evening Halloween Bash at the Civic Hal, Cottingham. Witches, devil horns, ghosts everywhere! Lots of new Halloween tracks were in the playlist this year and the feedback has been great.

The weather was dreadful so we did not have the turn out that we usually get for this annual event. So we were a bit lower in numbers but we were certainly big in energy!

Now time to get practicing the Christmas tracks!

What a fabulous Zumba Gold Halloween class we had on Wednesday 25th October. All the class members went to such an effort to dress up and looked great! It was lovely having Catherine on stage teaching a few tracks too x

As it was the last Wednesday of the month lots of us stayed behind to have lunch together in the bar area at the Civic Hall. Thanks to Andy and Annette for organising the lunch again.

It’s that time of year again. Once again we are having a fun, strictly sweepstake. This year we have 105 of us in the sweepstake which is amazing!

By now you should all have received a WhatsApp message letting you know which group you are in from 1 – 15. A live draw was done at our Strictly Fitsteps class on Friday 22nd September to match the groups with the celebrities. Check out the graphic in this post to see which celebrity you have drawn.

The first draw to take place will be the first celebrity to be knocked out. If this is your group you will receive £20.
