Good Luck to all the 2019 finalists!
Good luck to all the finalists in the National Community Fitness Awards 2019. You can see the the event on facebook under the Thrive at Events page, or log into the website – National Community Fitness Awards 2019. You can view all the videos and biographies on the website. My dear friend and fellow Instructor Debs Horsham-Batley has made the finals, take a quick look at her fabulous video and you can see some funny shots of myself in it! It would be great if you would have a look at Debs video, and if you like what you see give her a vote? Remember voting closes on Sunday 21st July.
Well done to Claire Goodliff who runs these awards and makes such a good job of them. The awards highlight all the hard work that Community Fitness Instructors do and what impact they have on their local communities. I am passionate about community fitness as it brings people together and gives them a sense of belonging to something special. “Fitness Fun and Friendship”.
Good luck everyone x See you all in Newcastle in November!

Fabulous Hallgate Summer Display!
Thank you everyone who turned out to do our annual summer display at Hallgate Fair on Saturday 6th July. You all looked fabulous. We even managed to pull off a Tug Of War team! Special thanks to my sister Adele and brother in law Phil for all their help. I am in the process of having a Zumba Gold promotional video done so hope the footage from the day turns out really well and we can then use it in the video. Thanks again everyone for such a lovely afternoon x
Fitness Vibe article in local newspaper.
I was thrilled to find out that our recent Fitness Gold trip has been reached the local newspaper! Our Fitness Gold class is a traditional keep fit/exercise to music class that meets every Monday morning 11.00am at the Church Of The Asension on Calvert Road, Hull. The class content is very much focused on joint mobility, flexibility, ballance and muscle strength but a big of the class is the social/community events we hold. We usually arrange four socials a year and every April/May we have a day trip away. This year we chose to go to the Hornsea Inshore Rescue. We all had such a fabulous day out and I think we left an impact as we reached the local paper!
Thanks to our class member Tracy Stancliffe for being such a good sport! I would highly recommend a trip to the Hornsea Inshore Rescue, very informative, lovely lunch and fun at the same time. You can book a visit by contacing 01964 534302.
