How great is this – Steve Harley from Cockney Rebel playing at the Civic Hall. Well done to the local music promoter who is responsible for bringing all these fabulous artists to the Civic Hall, Cottingham. A few of us from Fitness Vibe were in the reception area that day helping to promote the new Cottingham Village Trust 500 club Lottery, so we had the chance to meet him x

We now have some lovely new artwork for our new Legs Bums and Tums class. This Fitness Vibe class taught by Instructor Helen Burdin has been a great success, the feedback has been great. You can find out more about the class by visiting the Fitness Body section on the website. Our lovely class members Gaynor and Katie are featured in the posters and flyers. Thanks to everyone who agreed to have their photograph taken.
I am now starting to share healthy, nutritious, simple meal ideas with you. “Foodie Fridays” will be twice a month. The meals I will share will be energy boosting recipes which I use myself, which are easy to make and help me to teach my classes. Here we have our first one:
Tuna salad nicoise
Tuna, tomatoes, olives, green beans, cucumber, egg, boiled potatoes.
The type and quantity of the food you eat plays an essential role in determining your energy levels for the day. The omega 3 fatty acids found in the tuna can help reduce fatigue and the egg is packed with protein, a steady source of energy teamed with this summery salad is perfect on these warm summer days and prepares me for teaching my classes.
The new Legs Bums and Tums Class has been a great success and is now live on the website. You can find the information under the “Fitness Body” section on the website. The feedback I have been getting has been great. Our Instructor Helen Burdin is doing a great job x Thank you to everyone who agreed to have their picture taken for the new website page – can you spot yourself?
Our Fitness Gold Class runs every Monday morning 10.30am – 11.15am at Church of Asension, Calvert/Priory Road. It’s a lovely traditional Keep Fit – Movement to Music class and every year we have a summer picnic. This year we held our annual picnic on Monday 13th August. The weather rained on our party so we had to move indoors but it did not spoil our fun x Special thanks to Andy Chapman from Cottingham Catering for providing such a wonderful buffet. Thanks also to Tracy Hammond and her lovely Keep Fit ladies for joining us and helping out. Spaces are available at this Monday morning keep fit class for anyone wishing to join this fun and friendly group x .
