On Tuesday 30th April we had our annual Easter Fitness Gold day out. This year we had a trip to Hornsea Inshore Rescue Centre. We were all not sure what to expect but what a lovely surprise! The day was very well organised, cream tea on arrival in special china cups, followed by very interesting educational talks and videos. Also included was a tour around the facility trying out the tractors and the jet ski.
Fish and Chips from the award winning Whiteheads arrived at mid day, we then had such a laugh trying on the survival uniforms! Well done to our class member Tracy for being such a good sport.
Hornsea Inshore Rescue is run by a dedicated team of local volunteers who are doing a fantastic job. The team have saved countless lives at sea and need your support. On average they attend over 50 incidents a year. I would highly recommend a visit, we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
The trip costs £15 a head which includes tea and coffee all day and a Fish and Chip lunch. For further details ring 01964 537340 mobile – 07796 257989 or visit the website www.hornsearescue.org.uk
