It was fab having Susan Spice from Club Salsa Hull join us for our Strictly Fitsteps class on Friday 22nd January.  Sue kindly led a 10 minute Salsa taster session at the end of the class,and quickly had us all hooked!  Here she is leading the class and also with her Salsa team at their Christmas event in Scarborough.  If you’re interested, Sue’s Salsa classes are every Monday evening at the Civic Hall straight after our Zumba class from 8.00pm.

Bring your loved one for free!  This Valentine’s Day we are giving you the chance to bring your partner to our Zumba Class on Thursday 14th February at 6.30pm for FREE!  I will be popping some Valentine Zumba tracks in the play list so it should be a fun class.

If you would like to join the Cottingham Village 500 club Lottery simply contact 01482 845734 or email McClure@McClure for a registration form.  For a monthly subscription of just £4 or a one off annual payment of £48 you could be in with the chance of winning some tax-free cash whilst helping to support the Cottingham Village Trust to maintain the Civic Hall, Cottingham.

The lottery is drawn on the last Wednesday of the month at the Zumba Gold class at 11.30am  Half of that month’s subscriptions direct to the Trust to help them maintain the hall, the other half of that month’s subscriptons are shared between 3 lucky winners!  The prize money is growing every month which is fabulous.  You don’t have to be a Cottingham resident to join the Lottery club but most be age 16 or over.

I am offering an Unlimited Class Pass for February for £34.  Come along to as many Fitness Vibe Classes at Civic Hall, Cottingham for £34.  Represents excellent value.  If you attend three times a week it works out approx £2.83 per class, for four times it works out approx £2.12 per class and five times – well that’s just £1.70 per class – bargain!  Please note loyalty cards no longer apply when using the pass.

Well done to everyone who danced at the Zumbathon on Wednesday 31st January at the Civic Hall, Cottingham.  The charity event was in aid of Alzheimers Society and I am pleased to tell you £450 was raised for the charity.  You all looked fabulous x  The event was organised by a lovely lady called Georgie who works for the Border Force UK.  Thank you so much for all your efforts for such a worthwhile cause.

January 17th is the “Ditch your New Year’s resolution day”.  What’s your resolution for 2019?  Take a trip?  Find a new job?  If your New Year’s resolution is to keep fit and healthy then don’t do it!   I know it’s not easy but try to keep focused and motivated and join me in the process to become a leaner, fitter, healthier you!  Come along to one of our fun, enjoyable Fitness Vibe classes.  There is lots to choose from traditional keep-fit, body conditioning classes to fun dance-based Zumba and Strictly Fitsteps classes.  Have a look at the the different classes under “class info” on this website.  We are a very friendly group and you will be made to feel very welcome x

The last class of the year was Wednesday 19th December, we are then closed for the holidays and re-open on Monday 7th January with our full weekly schedule.  Please note there is a special one-off “warm up” Zumba class with Gaynor on Thursday 3rd January 6.30pm – 7.15pm Civic Hall, Cottingham, for those interested in getting a head start x
